See how Marks & Spencer used a 3D Tour

When Marks & Spencer opened a new store in Stevenage, they commissioned Apollo3D to create a 3D Virtual Tour of the whole store right before opening to a large crowd at 8am.

"We’re excited to welcome you to our brand-new Stevenage store. Before you visit us in person, join us for a virtual tour of M&S Stevenage below. Explore our shiny new clothing, beauty and homeware departments, new and improved Foodhall, plus a sneak peek at what goes on behind the scenes."

The newly opened Stevenage store introduces a host of innovative technologies and concepts aimed at enhancing the retail experience. Central to this is the virtual tour feature, which utilizes hotspots to spotlight various areas of interest. These hotspots serve as markers within the map, offering text descriptions, videos, photographs, links, and more. They enrich the browsing experience by providing detailed information, thereby encouraging visitors to spend more time exploring the site and allowing for a curated visitor experience.

From the latest fashion trends to delectable culinary offerings, the virtual shopping extravaganza has it all. Visitors are able to explore every nook and cranny of the store with just a click of a button and discover an endless array of products that cater to their every need.

Upon its initial launch, the 3D Matterport Virtual Tour also incorporated a fun element by hiding Percy Pigs throughout the virtual space. Customers were invited to find these hidden items and participate in a competition for a chance to win exciting prizes! How many Percy Pigs can you spot?
