With Lisa Bowerman from Stump Cross Caverns, Apollo3D took 25 primary school children from Skipton on the World’s First guided virtual tour of the Caverns. Using apollo3D’s ‘ShowRound’ tech, a tool akin to Zoom, Apollo3D could quickly and easily connect the classroom PC to the 3D tour, overlayed with voice over.
All the children were able to see the Matterport 3D Virtual Tour on their classroom big screen and ask questions. Their teacher could also take control of the Virtual Tour in real time, enabling Apollo3D and Lisa to answer questions or share facts based the same part of the tour. Of course, the most popular question asked ‘what flavour ice cream is there ?!’
The school is due to visit the Caverns soon and this experience have really got the children excited about their upcoming visit.
