Virtual Tour FAQ

How much does a virtual tour cost?

Our pricing is based on the total square footage of your venue. This way, you only pay for what we scan with no hidden extras.

Is it a security risk?

Not at all. We take data security very seriously.
All our tours follow strict safety protocols, including blurring faces, screens and security equipment.

Do I have to show everything?

No, you’re in complete control of what’s captured.
We can exclude specific rooms or areas, or even create two versions: one for public viewing and one for internal use.

If I refurbish or change a room, do I need a new tour?

No need to start again. We can rescan and update just the areas you’ve changed.
Updates are priced by square footage, so it’s quick and cost-effective.

How do I add it to my website? Do I need to download anything?

No downloads needed.
We host the tour for you and provide a simple HTML embed code (just like a YouTube video) that you can place directly on your website.

Can I share it on social media?

Absolutely. You can post clips, screenshots or teaser videos from your tour across all platforms.

What does the hosting fee cover?

Your hosting includes:

  • Secure Matterport server storage

  • Minor updates and edits

  • Ongoing customer support

  • Access to analytics (if included in your package)

How long does it take to scan?

It depends on the size of your space.

  • Smaller venues: 1 to 3 hours

  • Larger venues (like hotels or retail spaces): up to 6 to 8 hours
Most tours are completed in a single visit, though we may return if areas are in use at the time.

When will my tour be ready?

Your finished tour will be delivered within two weeks of scanning.

Does my venue need to be closed?

Not necessarily, but it’s best to scan when your venue is quiet or empty to get the most immersive results.

Do I need actors or staff in the tour?

Not required. Most clients prefer to show their space empty, but we can include people if you’d like to show the venue in use.

Do I receive photos as well?

Yes. Every Apollo3D virtual tour comes with a HD image pack of professional stills.

Can you show my venue in different setups, like day and night or seasonal events?

Yes. We can create alternate views within one tour, showing your space in different setups.
For example, a wedding venue could display multiple ceremony or dining layouts as visitors move through the space.

Do I need to prepare my venue beforehand?

It’s up to you. We can scan your space as it is, or once it’s styled for marketing.
We recommend ensuring it’s clean, tidy and well presented so it looks its best year-round.

Are you insured?

Yes. Apollo3D is fully insured, and all our operators are trained and accredited.

Can I include my existing marketing content?

Definitely. We can embed videos, photos, PDFs and information panels as interactive “hotspots” throughout your tour.

Do I need any special software to view it?

No, nothing extra required. Your tour runs in any modern web browser without downloads or plugins.

Can I take measurements inside the tour?

Yes. Matterport’s built-in measurement tool lets visitors measure walls, doorways and layouts with up to 99% accuracy.
It’s especially useful for accessibility and planning.

Does a virtual tour help SEO?

Yes. Having a virtual tour keeps visitors on your site longer, boosting engagement and improving search rankings.

Can my branding be included?

Yes. We can style your tour with your logo, colours and brand identity.

Can I see visitor data or analytics?

Yes. We can provide insights like visitor numbers, dwell time and heatmaps showing which areas attract the most attention.
